Sound Art at Casa del Lago

Muslab promotes and disseminates new creations of contemporary sound art from different parts of the world. This year the guest artists come from countries such as England, Portugal, Spain, and France, presenting works that unite art, music, and new technologies. Admission is free.

The event will take place on Saturday, November 24, beginning at 1pm at Casa del Lago’s Espacio Sonoro (located in the 1^st section of the Chapultepec Forest).

Last Days of MUTEK

Celebrating its 15^th anniversary this year, MUTEK.MX is the ideal opportunity to check out the newest and coolest in Mexico’s avant-garde digital art community. Stunning spectacles to witness, the performances perfectly and subtly combine music and technology.

Cristina Kahlo at Patricia Conde Galería

Cristina Kahlo‘s new exhibit at Patricia Conde Galería is entitled Contemplation. It is a delicate selection of her work that is full of repetitions, delicate brush strokes, and meticulous details. The idea is to patiently observe the creations in a silent space.

Patricia Conde Galería is located at General Juan Cano 68 in the San Miguel Chapultepec neighborhood.

Scripted Reality at Museo Jumex

Organized as a collaboration with the Televisa Foundation, Scripted Reality was curated by Kit Hammonds for Museo Jumex. The installations, photographs, sculptures, and videos that fill Gallery 3 tell the story of television. There are works by artists from America, Europe, Asia, and Africa, such as Candice Breitz, Miguel Calderón, Phil Collins, Lynn Hershman Leeson, and Yoshua Okón, among others.

Bauhaus at MUCA UNAM

Currently taking place at MUCA UNAM, “El mundo entero es Bauhaus” (“The Whole World is Bauhaus”) consists of a series of original pieces alluding to the Bauhaus accompanied by lectures given by local curators, scientists, architects, and historians. Its objective is to promote the coming together of the contributions made by this 20th century art academy and the current creative panorama of Mexico City.

The exhibit will be open to the public until December 4, 2018.
